Group Volunteering / Team Building

 

Thank you so very much for your interest in group volunteer opportunities at Clothed by Faith.

 

Volunteers are a vital part of the work we do. Our dedicated volunteer team enables us to provide clothing to more than 1,200 clients each month.

While we love welcoming new volunteer groups, hosting a large group requires significant staff time and resources, often pulling our team away from essential tasks needed to serve our clients. For that reason, we have a few guidelines for group volunteering:

  • All warehouse volunteers must be at least 14 years old.

  • Volunteers ages 14–15 must be accompanied by an adult who is also volunteering (1 adult per 2 minors).

  • All volunteers must watch our Volunteer Training Videos before volunteering. A link will be sent once a date is confirmed.

  • We ask each member of your group to support our clients by donating a package of adult‑sized underwear and socks.

    Alternatively, groups may choose to make a suggested donation of $25 per participant, representing the cost of preparing a week’s worth of clothing for one client. This is another meaningful way to partner with CBF in providing dignity and hope.

  • To ensure your group has time to arrive, get oriented, and complete meaningful work, we require a two‑hour commitment.

    GROUP VOLUNTEERING IN KATY

    We limit volunteer groups to no more than ten (10) participants. Our sorting area is small, and larger groups make it difficult to move around and sort clothing efficiently. Having more than ten volunteers does not create an optimal experience for your group.

Please note: sometimes we have too much stock and will therefore advise against a clothing drive as we will not have the capacity to accept the clothing. 

  • Fundraising.   We rely on donations and fundraising is an essential part of our growth.  If you are interested in holding a fundraising event, you can find our FUNDRAISING PACKET here.
