Volunteers are the heartbeat of Clothed by Faith. Each month, we rely on an average of 200 volunteers, contributing over 20,000 hours a year to help us serve those in need. Without their dedication, we simply couldn’t fulfill our mission.
At CBF, we recognize and celebrate the selfless commitment of our volunteers through our Volunteer Appreciation Program—a year-round initiative that honors their impact, helps us recruit and retain volunteers, and ensures every individual knows how deeply valued they are by both CBF and the community.
Hours & Shifts
Volunteering is available at our Katy and Deer Park branches, Monday through Friday, between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM. You can sign up for one or more of the following 2-hour shifts each day:
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM | 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM | 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
While we’d love for volunteers to commit to a regular weekly time, it’s absolutely not required—we’re grateful for any hours you can spare!
Age Requirements
All warehouse volunteers must be at least 14 years old.
Volunteers aged 14 or 15 must be accompanied by an adult who is also volunteering (1 adult per 2 minors).
Volunteer Opportunities at Clothed by Faith: We offer a variety of ways to serve, whether you prefer hands-on work in our warehouse, helping from home, or engaging with the community. Every role plays a vital part in fulfilling our mission.
👕 Warehouse Volunteers: Join us in our bright, air-conditioned warehouse to sort and restock donated clothing. Experienced volunteers help assemble full week’s wardrobes tailored to client requests.
🧥 Closet Team: Support our Closets for Schools program by assisting with setup and ongoing maintenance. This team helps ensure students have access to clothing right on campus.
🏡 Volunteer from Home: Occasionally, we offer tasks that can be completed at home—such as washing clothes, sorting items, or assembling packages. Full instructions are always provided. There is no age limit for this type of volunteering.
🚗 Delivery & Pick-Up Drivers: Help transport clothing and supplies as needed, mostly during our regular hours.
Drivers must have their own vehicle.
If using a CBF van, volunteers must be 25 or older, with a clean driving record and personal auto insurance.
💪 Muscle Group: Our Muscle Team tackles physical tasks like lifting heavy items, running errands, and general warehouse chores.
Volunteers must be 16 or older and have their own transportation.
Help may be needed during the week or on weekends.
🎪 Community Outreach Events: Engage with the community at events such as clothing and winter coat giveaways.
Events are typically held on weekends.
Volunteers must be at least 12 years old.
Those aged 12–15 must be accompanied by an adult volunteer.
